Johnny Jørgensen


Johnny is certified as a singing teacher in the Anne Rosing Method.
 

Since then, he has been everywhere in Denmark as a singer and singing teacher. He is a resident singing teacher at the Danish Academy of Musical Theatre in Fredericia.

He won his fame as the guy singing "Morgen på Atlantis" in the musical Atlantis in the 90ies.

He has participated in Dansk Melodi Grand Prix (the Danish National Selection for the Eurovision Song Contest) as both a solo artist and a backup singer 1995-2005. He has been a backup singer on multiple Disney movies, among others "Frozen" and "Brother Bear", and he played a leading role in "The Lion King 2". He was a choirmaster and solo singer in the Danish show choir "Læderhalsene" for many years, and he has given concerts at all "Musikhus" venues across Denmark. For many years, he was a soloist in the satire group "Selvsving", for example for the concerts in the Danish Broadcasting Corporation's concert house. He has been a backup singer for artists as varied as Sanne Salomonsen, Nik & Jay, Elaine Page and Tommy Körberg.
 

In recent years, he has become one of the most used singing instructors in Denmark.
In Tivoli's concert hall, he has performed, among others, in "Midt om natten", "Hairspray", "Spamalot", "Elf", "Sanne" and "The Bodyguard". At Nyborg Voldspil, he has performed in, among others, "Sound of Music", "The Producers" and "Evita". At Palsgård Sommerspil, he has done "Rent", "Chess" and "Annie", among others. At the Bellevue Theatre, he has done "A Column of Fire". For Heltemus, he has done "Into the Woods" and "American Idiot". And at Østre Gasværk, he has done, among others, "The Shamer's Daughter", "The Three Musketeers" and "Pillars of the Earth".
