Per Lauge Fischer
Classical pianist: repetition and accompaniment

Per is a classically trained pianist, répétiteur and accompanist specialising in lied and opera. 

He was educated at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and continued his studies under renowned accompanist Dalton Baldwin, France. 1989-2015 employed at RDAM as accompanist and répétiteur in the singing department, including the Opera Academy. 
 

For a number of years, he was responsible for booking visiting professors for the singing department, and in this connection, he was influenced by, among others, Helmut Deutsch, Roger Vignoles and Rudolf Jansen as well as great singers such as Anthony Rolfe-Johnson, Judith Beckman, Diane Montague and Italian opera coach Ubaldo Gardini. Visiting teacher at the conservatory in Oslo as an accompanist to Ingrid Bjoner. 

As an accompanist, PLF has worked with a number of Denmark's most outstanding opera and lied singers, including Inga Nielsen, Ulrik Cold and Ann Petersen. 
 

He has orchestrated a number of lied concerts, including a series of concerts with 150 lieds by Schubert performed by 16 young singers. Composers such as Debussy and Tchaikovsky have also been the focus of themed concerts. 
 

Furthermore, he has focused intensely on solo repertoire and chamber music in the classical genres of piano trio and violin and cello sonatas for the last decade. These concerts have often been centred around individual composers (including Bach's Das Wohltemperierte Klavier collection and programmes focused on Schubert, Liszt and Chopin). In 2020, he will initiate an extensive project focused on Beethoven.
